Types of work you can do

  • Small concrete works: concrete formwork for foundations and walls of buildings covered by Part 9 of the National Building Code, other concrete works, concreting, reinforcement and finishing of concrete, as well as similar or related work. CMEQ+1rbq.gouv.qc.ca+1

  • Non-structural masonry, marble and ceramic work: work involving non-structural masonry, marble, granite, ceramic, terrazzo, refractory products and similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Metalwork: work involving cold-formed steel and aluminum elements for non-load-bearing partitions, worked metals, welding work and similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Wood and plastic work: non-structural work in wood or plastic, such as finish carpentry, and similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Insulation, waterproofing, roofing and exterior cladding: work relating to fireproofing, waterproofing, insulation, lagging, roofing, exterior wall cladding other than masonry, and similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Finishing work: interior and exterior painting, floor, wall and ceiling coverings and their finishing, as well as similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Machined cabinets and countertops: work relating to machined cabinets and countertops, as well as similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Special or prefabricated installations: work relating to special or prefabricated installations, such as cold rooms, swimming pools, ice rinks (excluding their heating or refrigeration systems), as well as noise and vibration protection systems, and similar or related work. CMEQ

  • Intercommunication, telephony and surveillance: work relating to intercommunication, telephony and surveillance systems, as well as similar or related work. CMEQ
